I would like to lengthen the ram rod channel by 3/4 in possibly 1 in. I've measured and probed and drilled pe
Ep holes LOL. It appears I would be ok going an in. And not run into anything including ramrod. Ok is there a special bit? I'm thinking harbour freight as they have a piece long drill bit set. I'm thinking a 1/4 in. Ratchet and adapt to the bit. This would help in not having a fat bulky drill trying to drill on an angle. Would like yo drill from way out by the muzzel. Maybe a long bit extension the ones with Allen set screws. Ya maybe that would be best.

I got it. Bought a 4 ft x 3/8 in. Bit at harbour freight. Had to use a diamond thingy to sharpen the bit. Very dull. Did try it until I sharpened it. Worked out fine. I gotctwo of those bits as they were dirt cheap on clearance. Sure was nervous doing it but just an in wasn't bad. Thanks
