8-24-21 Price lowered to $650 and believe this is the lowest I can let this Southgte go for. Let me know if you have any interest

Price lowered and motivated to sell

I’ve had this old flintlock for several years and by researching can determine it dates to 1958. It looks complete and in nice shape estimated value (as far as my research found) between $800 to $1300 value.

There are cracks along the tow of the butt stock no repairs and the bore is good. I a feeling this gun was rarely fired. Not sure exactly how to measure the pull but this one is actually pretty short measuring 13in from trigger to inside of my elbow, trigger finger probably about 12in from my eye?

In any event, the gun appears to be all original, no modifications although when posting a thread a few weeks ago someone said the front sight was place reversed but even it it was it may have been put together that way and can be an easy fix. The dual triggers seem to operate properly but since it hasn’t been fired in at least 20 plus years the new owner should go thru it in full - I maintained the outside appearance the best I could and kept the bore lubricated with bore butter.

As far as shipping goes, I would expect professional packaging and shipping costs, insurance be arranged by the buyer and I can drop off at a local business and connect you to work out pricing. I would think that cost would be under $100
If you want a few more photos let me know - I’ll be traveling from the 29th thru the 8th but happy to try to send more photos etc

offers will be considered

Wondering if a name is on the barrel and the make or origin of the barrel? Is Southgate only on the lock? and caliber. thanks steg49

Anyone else reading this thread do know the gun is still available as this person originally stating he would take it has been non responsive so is offer is not valid

It's really a bad idea to post any personal information like email addresses on the open forum, people all over the world can see it and they're not all good, kind hearted souls..........
Save it for private messages between whoever chooses to purchase from you.
I deleted my PayPal info but you copied and pasted in your message so it’s back out there and I can not delete content of your message

I didn't copy and paste, it's part of the reply function but I will try to edit it.

That response has been deleted, your email is no longer visible.

Don’t know the caliber and weight is around 7lbs and that’s all I know.
the asking price is noted in the listing title

There is a short time for editing. You can do one of two things:
1. Report it and tell what you need changed.
2. Quote it and change within the quote and make a comment below the quote about the changes you made so others will be sure to notice them.
QUOTE " Lowering Price to $475" Please update the listing

I am withdrawing my offer to purchase this firearm. Please consider it back on the market. Pm sent to seller also.
