Last night just before dark I came out of the shop and saw two trucks parked on the rd. The passenger on the red truck got out. So I looked in the hay field and saw this nice buck out there.
I live 100 or more yards off the road and when the guys in the road saw me they took off.
I went back in the shop and loaded my .45 southern flint and played a short waiting game for the buck to cross the driveway and get into another hay field to take a shot. Not a safe backstop in first field.
He stopped behind a bush that I could use for cover and I walked to about 60 yards he took a couple of steps and stopped I shot and he dropped in his tracks.
Dragged him to the house with the new hemp rope I just made and hung him in a box elder tree for the night.
Sorry for the bad pics, couldn't turn flash on for some reason.
