My stock was pre mortise for lock,,tang,,triggers and butt plate. I can do it but getting lazy , and old eyes.Ive got an issue since it was pre inlet. Had this before but just left it as is.With the barrel set completely in and lock, the drum sets high on side flat.Doesnt bother me long as it shoots.Should I not set the barrel completely down and bed under the barrel in order to lower the drum to be closer to center of side flat

Did that make since. The way it is the top of the threaded part of the drum that screws into the barrel sits ever so slightly abovtop of side flat on barrel. Hope I explained that correctly.
