it was a kit gun that was given to me by my boss. He did all the work to it years ago, i just sanded and stained it with tongue oil.

I did the same thing to a 7mm bolt action deer rifle years ago and had the same "unexpected" results. It turned out beautiful, as well as yours did. Great job.... :thumbsup:
