Earlier this month I used a JP McCoy rifle with an L&R #300 lock during my muzzle loading deer hunt. During cleanup after the hunt the lock quit holding safely at full or half cock. I sent it to L&R. They received it on the 17th; had it serviced with new parts installed by the 20th and I had it back home and in the rifle yesterday, the 23rd. Exceptional service.
Thank you to Mr. Thompson and all at L&R.
Merry Christmas

Had the main spring break in my Hatfield 50 caliber percussion a couple of weeks ago. Contacted L&R since they make a flintlock lock for Hatfields. They made and shipped me a percussion lock in less than a week, with clear instructions on modifications necessary to install. Took it shooting yesterday and can’t express how pleased I was with the lock. It is much quicker and strikes the cap with more force than the original. I plan on ordering a flint lock for the Hatfield and a percussion lock for a TC Renegade. Pleased with the service and quality of the lock.

I replaced a Dixie flintlock with a new L&R flintlock. Since the replacement, I have been using chert that was knapped by another forum member. Wore one piece down to a nub, replaced that one with a new piece of chert. Excellent ignition every hammer fall. IMG_1636[53].jpg
