I think this is muzzleloading related because I bought the air rifle to practice for offhand muzzleloading. Shooting postal matches has made me realize just how dismal my offhand shooting is. With the air rifle I can step into the garage or back yard and shoot a 5 shot sort of group at most any time. The hole in the target shows me what I am really doing and is better for me than dry firing. Often I think I have a good shot and the target tells me different. After about 400 very cheap rounds through the rifle I am seeing definite improvement. A little bit of internet searching will get you more than you ever want to know about airguns and targets.

I have a air rifle and pellet trap in my basement. Too lazy to go to the shop and shoot it. I use it to work on the same thing you do. Conditioning the body and the mind. Practice is practice.

I have several air rifles too but I don't consider this topic to be really related to muzzle loading so I'm closing it.

As I said in another topic that was just posted about air rifles and muzzleloaders, "I do not want it to turn into a discussion about shooting airguns.. ."
