Just completed another Portmanteau and it’s looking for a new home.
It measures 11” long with 4” by 6 ¾" oval ends. The flap overhangs ½" on each side and is 12” in total.
Bag was made from 7/8 Oz. Grade #1 tooling leather and sewn throughout with Victors pre-waxed linen thread using a saddle stitch.
The straps are 2/3 Oz. leather and buckles by John Rader are on the ends of each ¾” strap.
The handle was hand woven by the seller and is 100% jute.
Bag is priced at $225.00 which includes free shipping to the lower 48.
P.M. seller if there are any questions.

Leroy - Cutfingers, American Mountain Men, #1570

I dropped off these websites for several years, then returned a year or so ago.

I've seen several pieces in person made by Cutfingers over the last 25-30 years. If your looking for correctness and quality, here's the man to talk to. He is well respected in the mountaineer circles.

Good to see the name once again.

Thanks Buck.
It has been over 30 years and I'm beginning to feel it.

I own three of Cutfingers portmanteaux, and they are terrific. Any encampment I have gone to draws attention to my "luggage". As a gentlemen, I have change of "small clothes" in one, a range box in the other, and a "chemise and stockings" in the other. They sit side by side by the matching powder, ball, and shot bags made by Cutfingers for me. Excellent work.
