This is a handmade Pipestone Pipe. The Pipestone (Catlinite) came from the quarry at Pipestone, Minnesota. This type of Pipestone can only be found in Minnesota. It was dug out by my dad who is full blooded lakota. In order to be able to dig out the pipestone at the quarry you have to be a enrolled member and you can't use power tools . This pipe was made by him as well. It's wrapped with tanned deer. If you would like more information or your interested send me a pm. Thanks for looking.
