Would this be able to be fitted to a Plains Pistol?

I installed that same sight on a .40 rifle I just built. The aperture hole is sized ready to tap for Lyman aperture disk. I used the Pedersoli front globe with post for the front sight.

I fitted a Lyman Globe front sight and thought it would be a natural progression to put a tang sight on it and use it as a fun target pistol.

A short Creedmore sight would actually be really neat but the Pedersoli Ghost Ring sight seems like the best option.
