Hi there,
I am currently doing some research, both for a writing project but also personal interest and a potential future purchase.
Of the two jäger rifles that Pedersoli make, is there a vast difference in their accuracy? I understand that the target will be more precise due to its longer barrel, but is there much in it at 100, 200, and 300 yards? I also saw a shooter test the target at 1000 yards and wondered if this would be a ridiculous notion for the hunter? Also, if using minié balls would make a noticeable difference to the accuracy of either, please let me know.

Lastly, considering the hunter is less accurate - to whatever degree - are there any advantages to it over the target?

For the sake of consistency, I'd keep them both in percussion form rather than flintlock.

Thanks in advance.
