Has anyone ever re inlet a pedersoli harpers ferry pistol for a new lock. I've had mine for a year and the geometry is awful, with the shortest 5/8 flints you can't close the frizzen at half cock and I only get 4 or 5 shots per flint before the contact angle with the frizzen has bashed it to pieces. I've tried shimming it down a bit for a better angle but then the upper cock jaw strikes the frizen before the flint. I can't believe pedersoli screwed up the geometry on these so bad.
