I picked this up as part of a deal at a recent gunshow, and I think I'd better unload it before I get attached to it. I have not fired it, and I think no else has either. I can't prove that it's unfired, but I believe that's the case. The only thing keeping it from as-new condition are very minor dings on the stock consistent with storage and handling. No signs of abuse.

I'm tempted to keep it, but I really prefer flintlocks. Evidently converting these is simply a matter of getting a touchhole line and a lock - something like $200 for all. If it doesn't sell, I might just go that route. It has a medium-twist rate barrel that's supposed to be good for both round balls and conical bullets.

This handsome little longrifle retails new for between $725-$800 from what I can see. I'd be happy to get $450 + $30 to cover shipping in the continental USA

It will be also be listed on other websites and for sale locally.

Sold pending funds. I’ll mark it “sold” when payment arrives

When I see the seller make a post that says, "Sold pending funds", I close it and mark it as sold.

Too many times when a seller sells something "pending funds" and the sale goes thru with the funds paid, the seller will forget to come back to the post and mark it as actually sold.

The way I figure it, if I close the advertisement and the sale doesn't go thru because the funds weren't paid, the seller can always make a new ad putting the item up for sale again. Since posting an ad is free, the only cost for the seller is the time it takes to make a new ad.
