Hello! Does anyone know if the Pedersoli Blue Ridge rifle in .54 barrel is 7/8" across the flats. I know the .50 barrel is 7/8".
Thanks for any thoughts.

Hello Loyalist Dave,

Pedersoli makes the Blue ridge for Cabelas and the Frontier that they market themselves, and the later Hatfield rifles had Pedersoli barrels like mine does. Mine is a .50 caliber and the barrel is 7/8". My brother found somewhere in the forum an article from The American Rifleman in 2014 that stated the Cabelas Blue Ridge .54 barrel measured 0.888" across the flats. I pulled my Hatfield out of the safe and measured it with Dad's dial caliper and it also measured 0.888" or 7/8". So perhaps Mr. Hoyt may be able to reborn and rifle this to .54 if it doesn't shoot well.
I was able to clean it up a bit with a tight dowel and some 600 grit wet or dry. It is not perfect, but much better now.
