Here are some observations as I delve into paper ctg..
Weapon and load: .44 1860 Army/Uberti ..25gr triple seven .. .454 ball ..popcan primers
First round above combinations --coffee filter slightly nitrated --accuracy not measured but too much debris left in chambers
Second round of tests --heavily nitrated coffee filter --accuracy not measured --only ring of debris left in bottom of chamber
Third round --heavily nitrated coffee filter --accuracy not as good as straight ball and powder with greased wad & w/ 50/50 Crisco/Bore Butter over chambers BUT changed glue from glue stick to a cellulose based glue and ring debris left in the bottom of chamber was less than glue stick version
Fourth round --non nitrated "Wave Form" hair curler paper --rest of loading same as Third round and groups tightened up a bit but used glue stick and ring debris was back

Final (and successful) run --
Fully nitrated hair roller paper (one sheet makes 6 wrappers when wrapped in a single layer with a 3/16th over lap with CELLULOSE glue to close the side and bottom

Bottoms are punched from a separate sheet of nitrated curler paper and are 3/4" circles

I then dip them in a mix (heated of course) of 3oz by weight of bee's wax with 3oz by weight of olive oil and I dip them 1/4" past the ball paper contact point

No added grease on the face of each chamber and no wad ..Paper Debris 99% gone

My accuracy came all the way back and this load has proven to be able to fire without cleaning many rounds

Believe it or not the tweezers (which lock closed on the projectile) are key as they hold the projectile while you coat the area of contact between lead and paper without gluing your fingers ..makes building 5 times faster

Curling Paper: "Wave Form" at Sally's beauty supply
Dropper bottle: (to dispense acetone a drop at a time into the fast setting glue you have in the bottom of a cup like a restaurant served salad dressing in)

Be sure to heavily wax whatever mandrel and die you are using or glue will stick to it and if you use the cellulose and acetone mix keep your adhesive you are going to apply at the sticky level and not wet so it will not soak thru to the mandrel or die

When using the circle punch on curler paper , I found it more effective to put the stack of curler paper between two stiffer sheets of paper like old targets etc. I cut them in rectangles the size of the curler paper . If I don’t do it the thin curler paper jams this type of circle punch.
