This all original rifle is available to a caring home. This has been in a private collection and is now for sale. Rifle made in Mill Creek, PA 1845.

So, is it a .69 caliber smoothbore or a .69 caliber rifle? Maybe its a rifled-musket. I would think a rear sight would have been added if the barrel was rifled before or during the Civil War. Condition is very good. The bayonet looks excellent.

It is a smoothbore cap and ball. My apologies for not including that in the first post.
