Beautiful gun. More like Christmas and your birthday on the same day.

If your bore measurements are correct, you may want to try a .580” ball, about .010”/0.25mm less than the bore diameter. A cotton patch that compresses to about .015”/0.38mm should be about right to grip the ball and seal off the grooves. I would continue with the 40 grain powder charge until I became more familiar with the gun. With a good tight ball and patch combination, the accuracy charge should be found between 50 and 70 grains, but you will not know for sure until you confirm it yourself when shooting the gun.

Again, that is a very nice gun.

About 55. 14=1/2, 19=.75
About 55, but not really that close. Based on OP’s measurements, bore is .590” (15mm), and groove diameter is .606” (15.4mm). Reason I recommended a .580” roundball with patch material that compresses to about .015” a couple of posts back.
