On Saturday past, my gun club had it's annual open house. As RSO's, we are asked to provide some firarms so the guests get to shoot.
I had my .50 calibre Jaegar flintlock and Enfield musketoon on the line. Many people had their first taste of black powder, white smoke. Several young men came back several times to shoot the flinter. The smiles on thier faces after taking a shot is priceless.
May have "hooked" some new shooters to our cause. Just have to wait and see.
On normal shooting days, I feel "eyes" on me. I will invite the curious to taste the smoke. The flash of the pan, the cloud of smoke gives them a thrill.
Those of you that shot at gun clubs have had the same situations, most likely. Spread the fun.
