For an accurate rifle with a real gun-barrel steel barrel get thee a Traditions. Midwayusa sells them.
The lock may or may not suit you. I understand that a god replacement may be had from Track of the Wolf, but I have no personal knowledge how well it may fit.
I do have personal knowledge of how American barrels made of screw stock may behave, I can tell you that by private message if you wish.

Welcome. My flintlock 16 gauge weighs seven pounds on the nose. With a 42" barrel. Throws a 1 ounce ball or 1-1/4 oz shot very well.
