Got this is a box of old ML stuff. I have never seen this one. Works pretty well and increments are clear. But I have no idea what the bottom section is for. Anyone have one of these?

I have a thing for these old used powder measures. Got several , mostly machinist made ,and pre 1975. All I can say is , check the grain markings on the barrel of the measure. Some are 10+ gr. in error. One day I was in a hurry to get to the range and just grabbed one of those old brass measures . Set the grain marks for the 80 gr . setting . My reliable 50 cal. long rifle shot a good 2,5 " high at 50 yds. due to using 84 grs. , instead of the 80 gr. expected. ...........oldwood
