I have just cut some cherry burrel to make a gun stock for my GPR. I was thinking of making it a full stock. I was wondering if I needed to use another barrel wedge kee closer to the muzzel or if the two wedge kees would do. I'm getting the cherry kiln dryied with a load of saw wood we cut up for my father inlaw on saterday. Thanks F.K.

I would atleast use three for a fullstock. What length barrel?

I would stick three of them in there. Your going to have to angle the heads on the to forward keys to match the angle of the stock wood along the forestock. Fill the two existing dovetails for the loops and recut them where you want them.

What Cooner said. I have three original barrels that have been restocked over the years (150-200) that have had the tenons moved. And also remember it's the barrel that holds the forestock. Not the other way around, like modern guns.
