About all you can do is check sites very often. When they do have them they go fast.
Might consider a rock lock if you need caps for rifle.
Making them is an alternative.
In a pinch the tip of a strike anywhere match will work. Put on nipple then put piece of foil over it for trekking. At range just touch the match tip to your tongue and it will sit on the nipple.
Ring caps work.
Both match tip and ring cap are a bit more corrosive but just clean asap

Hello,
Is there anyone here in North Texas who knows of a local source of #11 caps? I know it’s a long shot, but any leads are appreciated. Thanks.
https://www.travelersantiquesandtrading.com/product-category/black-powder-caps/percussion-caps/Check with these folks. They travel to different shoots and should be at the Memorial Weekend shoot in Electra, TX. they are located a few miles East of Amarillo on 287. A lot of folks with Red River Renegades order from them and they deliver to the range during a shoot. Really nice folks.

Sporting goods guy in a big store here told me last Saturday they haven't gotten any caps in in months. GunBroker has them but you are going to pay through the nose for them. Go to gun shows. Sometimes people don't realize at the shows the caps are scarce and you can get them for normal or near normal price. Even if they charge more for them you aren't paying inflated shipping and hazmat fees. I have picked up some at shows recently.

I bought a Colt 1860 then found out I couldn't get caps. Seen some cap on gunbrokers but they was more than the price of my revolver! I got the cap maker and Prime All online from Sharpshooter 22LR Reloader Store and that has been working out great.

Tou might try Scheels in The Colony near north Dallas and Traveler’s as others have mentioned. Crater Fireworks Home/Office 815-542-6287 they are out of state though.
