In Surry Co. Thurmond, just North of Elkin NC. Member of Yadkin Valley Longrifles Inc. We shoot the 3rd Sat each month close to Union Grove NC. We relocated earlier this year. We have a good time and shoot a different target each month, having a woods walk in April along with some trading and great fellowship. Come out and join in.

The Great State of Wilkes! I used to spend a good deal of time at a Y Camp near Boomer teaching shotgunning, and now and then burn powder for demonstrations at Fort Defiance just over the line in Caldwell. I got my living history start there.
Any of you fellows around Murphy, Cherokee County in far western North Carolina?
I'm on the other side of the mountains, in Tennessee, about an hour's drive from Murphy.

Curious, what do you think it would take to start a primative season here like they have in Pennsylvania?
I think in western nc it would go over great because we have such a reduced rifle season
