Thanks guys, now I need to figure out wether the gun that I found stashed in the attic of a house I bought in New Mexico all those years ago is an oriflginal Hawken or not. I've kept it stashed for many years until recently.

Hey there, have been interested in muzzleloading since I was a kid in the 70s and my father taught my brother's and I to shoot. I own one old muzzleloader now.
Thanks for having me in your group.

Welcome from Kuna, formerly from Albuquerque.
I've shot mostly original MLs over the past 60 years,
be happy to check the condition & type of your rifle out if you don't find someone qualified closer to you.
