  • Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.

We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.

Welcome from Ohio, as the UndeadPoet suggested .490 round ball, .015 lubed patch with 70 grains of powder. One more tip to a new flint shooter is to sand bag or bench rest until you get accustomed to the way the rifle operates. Good luck to you, keep your powder dry and have a blast.

Welcome. I'm in Western Montgomery county. If you're interested we shoot BP regularly at my club in Chester County. Usually on Sundays. Send me a PM if you'd like to tag along some time and we'll get you squared away.
