My fusil kit will be here in a couple or so days.I know I gotta play with loads to find the best. I will shoot some 62 cal balls for fun. I quit deer hunting 4 years ago but never know what bug might bite me. I love to squirrel hunt and turkey. So my ?? Is jug choke or no. I've also got a bad habit at taking long shots on those grey squirrels here in Indiana. If the answer is no jug choke then is there any other ideas? I've yet to hear of anyone having a barrel swaged to get better pattern. Maybe mod. Or alittle more.

I'd jug choke it to at least modified. Then play with shot cups and the Skychief. The jug choke shouldn't hurt your roundball shooting and can only improve longer range shot performance.

I wish I knew ! I've only messed with one jug choked gun and it was a disaster with round ball and o ly helped shot patterns a bit but all I've read on this forum has been pretty impressive sounding and looking , the pics of patterns. Seems pretty darn impressive . Jug choke is certainly something to consider . I use shot cups and they certainly help patterns .... Best of luck .

I remember reading how to jug choke a barrel. First you need an inside barrel caliper, sold by Brownell's. Then you need a barrel hone. Honing the major diameter is easy, the trick is to get the proper angle from the barrel to the major diameter. Then from the major diameter back to the muzzle part of the barrel. If you wat to do it yourself you had better buy a loooong barrel that you can cut pieces off until you get it right.
