While I am not new to black powder, I am new to traditional muzzleloaders. I shot a lot of black powder doing cowboy action shooting but life events made it tougher to participate in that.

Now that the kids are mostly out of the house I was looking for a reason to shoot more and got a wild idea that a flintlock might be fun. A couple of weeks of research later I am going to take the plunge. I located a group not too far away (Sauk River Trail Long Rifles) and plan to go visit at there March shoot.
