I have recently acquired this antique and was wondering if anyone might have any info on it. There is no proof marks on it. Only thing that can be made out is 1868 and that is on the receiver just under the barrels. Thank you.
Hard to tell from the photos, but very similar to guns made by Blunt & Syms of New York City... If not, then it could possibly be one of the Ethan Allen guns (Allen & Thurber, Allen & Wheelock, etc)I have recently acquired this antique and was wondering if anyone might have any info on it.
