WITHDRAWN Navy arms .58 cal

I just got this gun a few days ago. I thought I’d like to deer hunt with it. After getting it I think I’d just prefer to have a hawken style rifle because that is what I’m most comfortable with. It’s got a beautiful bore as pictured, 3 groove, my math says 1-60 ish twist. Needs a jag for the ramrod. .I have not shot it . Im looking to only trade, no sale! Im looking for a half stock hawken style minimum 54 cal but prefer 58 like this. Percussion or flint. If you have something to trade pm me please.

Ok, I can’t fix it until tonight. Might consider changing how the rule is written as I’m not doing a sale as it’s only for trade.

What bullets do you shoot? Also how much powder? I’ve heard these will go up to 200gr. Is that true?

I use .570 round ball and 70 grains of powder is shoot tourneys so im not sure what the max load is but im sure its hefty these rifles are heavy barreled

You should keep this one. These do not come around very often.

They are said to be good shooters and being a .58, there ain't a thing alive on feet you can't dirt nap with it.

Trading it off for a lesser rifle don't make sense.

I’m still wanting to trade this off. I took it to the log cabin shop and they fixed me up with a new nipple and ram rod. I’m planning on updating with new pictures. I’ve been applying linseed oil to the new ram rod to get it sealed up nice. Let me know if you are interested.
