Now that I know, thanks to THE chart on here, how to date these Italian made reproduction guns, that my gun was made in 1977, I wonder if it had been shot before I got it. The seller assured me that it was a "good shooting gun". But it was so clean that there was no evidence that it had ever been fired. Had I known that it was 42 years old I would have spent a little more time examining it before I loaded and fired it the first time. No matter though, I bought it to shoot and that's what I will do. It' not like it's an original antique anyway, right? If someone has fired it and taken great care of it for 40+ years I will do the same and maybe pass it down to one of my grandsons.
