I'm all ears (eyes).
Google didn't produce anything. What exactly is dirty beeswax?
I'm assuming adding something to melted beeswax and somehow trickling it in??? Then do not remove the side plate after doing?
I add stuff to the beeswax to make it dark. Candle soot, turpentine.. stuff like that. Then heat it up and rub it in.

Go to your home improvement store and buy one of the scratch and dent crayons, available in several colors.

Good info.
Not being a woodworker, I didn't know such a thing existed.

ETA: Although I'm getting used to the gap, it would still be nice to make it disappear.

Presume you don’t have the sawdust left from sanding? That and clear glue can make a pretty good filler,

That trick I knew. I did not feel it would give me the results I wanted.

And I do remember seeing a wood filler being used to fill finish nail holes in trim. Not a crayon, but came in a small jar like a putty. Same difference I imagine.

Thanks for the tips guys.

If anyone can tell me... my front sight is due in today.
Why is it that on muzzleloaders the ramp faces the muzzle and not the shooter like typically seen on other guns?
