I finally got my first flintlock rifle in the mail today I bought it used from an auction. It's a Lyman Trade rifle I had been looking for and it seems to be in great shape except for a few dings in the wood I can fix easy enough. The price was right, so I thought it would be a good place to start. It's a .50 cal with a nice bore.

Sounds like you know me. I have a pretty good collection of cap guns so It's time to work on the flintlocks. I already have a Traditions KY rifle kit that I plan on converting to flintlock when the weather cools off a bit with plans in the future to build a Kibler or perhaps a Chambers when I can. The grandkids will all have one a piece when I get called to that big shooting range in the sky.
