Actually, to give away. I have noticed several posts from guys who wanted to build their first long rifle. I have very fine copy of RH McCrory's "The Modern Kentucky Rifle". Done by typewriter and with lots of good photos. I really have little interest in 'Kentucky' style rifles. So, tell me you are a new builder, that you really intend to build … and send me your address. I will mail it to you …. no charge for book or postage. First one to reply gets it. If that's too costly, make me an offer. Polecat :thumb:

I'll take it, I'm a new builder & could really use the book. I'll send my address by PM.

I wish I could tell you I am a new builder, but that would not be the truth. I've built a small few. I would have another one finished except I left the lock and my tools in Tennessee in December.

That is a kind and generous offer for someone wanting to get their feet wet. I don't have that book, but bet it is a good one.

That is one fine deal. I have considered buying the book to just to read it.

I enjoy reading, I HATE television.
