Didn't wanna Hijack Mike's thread re: OP Wads, but wanted to mention that I like the Triangle target. I find, for me anyway, that it seems easier to focus & line up on than the conventional round Bullseye, especially when shooting offhand. Thought it might be interesting to see what kind of other targets people use and prefer for their own style of shooting...

The round bull works best for me too. I believe it's what you get used to. Been shooting for over 55 years and most of it has been at conventional targets ( do you think I'm stuck in a rut?). :hmm:

I like a 2 inch black square. It works perfect for 50 yard shooting with iron sights holding 6 o'clock.

Well, in that case, you might want to check out this topic; http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/261319/pid/1058289/post/last/m/1/#LAST
And that whole section... :wink:

I like a 2-1/2" square diamond (3-1/2" wide +/-).

At 50 yards it is easy to set the front sight under the "V" and at 100 yards just aim for the center of the dark fuzzy blur in the middle of the white sheet.

I prefer:
That faint shadow/pocket right behind a deer's elbow;
The different color contrast below a squirrel's ear;
The wattles on a longbeard's neck;

:grin:

I like an octogon with red lines crossing it through the corners and then a squirrel head in the middle with a bullseye between his eye and ear. :rotf:
