I had an old TC stock laying around here for years, and bought a Green Mountain .45 RB barrel about a year ago and put on it. I added a Lyman peep sight and a 17a front sight, and it's set in a corner since. I finally got it out to the range yesterday to see if it was going to shoot, and I think it might show some promise of accuracy. I tried .440 rb in it, and it went down the barrel a little too easy, so I loaded it with .445's and it seemed to fit about right. I set up a target at 25 yards and gave it a try. I started on the middle target on the left, and it shot really high, so it was just a matter of cranking the sight down and over to the left a little, but it finally seemed to be pretty close, so I decided on a 5 shot group to see if it would put them anywhere close together, and it didn't do too bad. I might have to take this out to the monthly match in october and see if it will perform.

Just a heads up, most matches will not allow a closed sight.
The club I shoot with has no restrictions on peep sights. I have never had a lot of experience with peeps, but decided it's maybe time to try one. My other rifles all have open sights and I shoot matches monthly with one of them.
