I think we aren't supposed to post links to other forums. But on another site somebody posted this, he had bought an 1858 Remington.
"My secret is the birthday discount Midway USA gives you. Their regular price was $340 and the discount brought it down to $277.
The discount doesn't work on every item. The Uberti Walker had zero discount. And the percentage off varies by the item. I'm not sure what the formula is. But it's usually a good deal to shop there around your birthday."

Midway has always sold muzzleloaders, among the modern stuff. I suppose if you order a BP gun, then you have to post your birth date in the cart, to make it legal. So Midway knows your birthday.

I don't really know anything more about it except the clip from a message.

I try to use my birthday discount on at least something each year.
I think you have 11 days either side of your birthday to use it.
They have mine from buying modern ammo and magazines for unmentionable guns.
Some discount is better than none.

I used the birthday discount last year and ordered stuff like cleaners and roundballs, some of the balls were as cheap as $8 per box. Several guys here did the same a good offering.
