John Edmond's ''Troopie Songs has some overlap with this. Bembesi being one that stays in my mind.
 
The book "Flintlocks of the Iroquois 1620-1687" by Joseph R. Mayer, page 32 shows a dug cock for a matchlock.

On page 46 it sites the Jesuit Relations 24:271 says the Mohawks carry on their trade especially in arquebuses; they have at present 300 of these and use them with skill and boldness. 1642-3.
