I recently came into a large lot of mammoth ivory and I thought I'd give the good people of this forum an opportunity to buy some. I've got some that would make excellent front sights ($4 per inch), inlays ($8 per square inch), knife handles or for carving. Just message me with what you're looking for and we can go from there. Theres some that's the nice whiteish color but mostly tans and browns.

I like the idea and the picture of the sight.
I have a SMR & have the devil's own time seeing the front sight clearly.
I'd like a small piece, enough to make a blade about 1.5" long and about 0,40 inches high, as light colored as available.
I've seen someone offering sight bases, if I can backtrack there, or could carve one of brass.
Have you such a sliver left? If sdo, how much, w/ mail to SW Ohio (45387)?

What is the thickness of the ivory?

I've got about 80 lbs of ivory so thickness is all over the place.
