If any skilled metalworker would like to earn a more than fair $$$ amount to make me a simple sheet metal , 1860's period type peep sight that will mount to the existing tang screw hole of my Enfield Musketoon. Nothing crazy just similar to those found on the original 1840's Kentucky or PA rifles.

I emailed him, thank you for the lead on that.

Tom A Hawk that looks neat but it looks like it mounts on a barrel. I also found a wierd flip up tang sight with holes marked "75 100" but they were way, way high almost like it was made for a crossbow or something.

Are you familiar with a Johnson sight? It does require drilling and tapping the barrel but it is a primitive looking sight. Another choice would be s lollie pop sight. Send me an email and I can send some pics

Them are really neat ideas above!! I seen a Neodymium Magnet with a Peep hole in it attached to a Rear Sight on another forum, If a Person just thinks about stuff like this you can get fairly creative!
