Quick question. The tang and breech plug don't match on the flats. I've tried the (very minor) metal removal suggestions under the tank / breech lug area with no luck. The flats seem to be about 1/32" off no matter what I do. I'd like your feed back on this possible solution:
I intend on using superglue on the tang / breach plug area to make a one piece (properly aligned) unit for bedding / micro-beading purposes only. After that has been accomplished and the channel has been modified to fit the barrel / tang unit I plan on separating the tang from the breech for normal barrel removal.
Anyone try this remedy before?

It's the hook.
Maybe removing a little on the side of the breech hook will alow the barrel flats to line up with the tang prpoerly.
The glue method to hold breech/barrel and tang together for inletting is very common.
