This is the “long discontinued” Lyman 57730 minie mold. It is the thick walled skirt for heavy HEAVY powder charges. Will not blow the skirt. Want a minie for moose and elk? This is it. It drops a 570 grain minie. My calipers measure that with pure lead they drop right at .576-.577 depending on how you hold your mouth. Fit nice and snug in my Parker hale musketoon. When firing one with 100 grain of 3F they kill on both ends. Nice and accurate but the recoil is too much for me.
