I am selling my Lyman Great Plains Hunter in 54 caliber. It is the fast twist hunter barrel. Double set triggers. The rear sight is a Lyman 57 sml with spacer on the bottom and the front sight is Lyman 17A. That is at least 140 dollars worth of sights on the rifle. I have never shot this rifle, and when I drop a light down the bore it looks unfired to me. It is in like new condition, although a person might find a scuff on it somewhere. If so, I haven't seen it. These sell for over 500 without standard sights (569.00 on gun broker). I am asking 625 shipped. I will also include a Lee mine bullet mold and a box of no excuse bullets (cost me 35 bucks to get them to me).

Ok, I am motivated to sell this rifle. 525.00 to sell it and that will include shipping, that also includes the box of no excuse bullets and Lee Minie ball mold. Don't forget it has a Lyman 57 sml sight and Lyman 17 front globe sight that takes different inserts (will include some inserts).

Good afternoon... i have two questions regarding the rifle.
1) Lyman has a recall on some Great Plains models built in 2017; there is access to the serial numbers affected. Can you send the serial number so I can check it?
2) You mentioned 'fast hunter twist' I believe their standard int hat rifle is 60. Can you verify that?

thank you
Frank

I believe it is 1 in 32 twist. better suited for conicals.
The serial number is A472430

The Lyman recall says this about it:

"... Barrels with the serial number in the range of A595960–A599026 are subject to this recall."

The gun being offered was made prior to these recalled guns.
