Lyman GPR barrel

I have been looking at Lyman GPR's. Some have the nipple attached to the barrel as one piece and others have the nipple attached to a short section between the barrel and the tang. Was wondering why the difference. Thanks.

All Great Plains Rifles have a separate breechplug that screws into the barrel and that the nipple screws into. The one that looks like it doesn't likely just has better fit/finish than the other one.
