Quoting from Lymans users guide with all their muzzleloading guns; The stock has been stained with oil leaving a dull finish or Birch Wood Finsh or Boiled Linseed Oil thin coats will further enhance the finish and protect the stock how much is a light coating to began with? Do have to rub out succesive coats of oil between coats of oil with .000\t steel wool? Which is better Kinseed True oll? I don't want a commercial shinny look
