Found this at an auction bought. It showed up today.
Kind nice to have the original box.
Case Hardened frame, Nickel trigger and back strap, blued barrel and cylinder, gloss finished grips.
Over all pretty good shape.
It was stuck, cylinder would not rotate so hammer would not cock. Pulled barrell,
Sprayed penetrating oil on spindle and let sit.reinstalled barrel for support on spindle, tapped lightly on cylinder with a plastic faced hammer on all sides, gun cocked and cylinder turned. Removed barrel again, and cylinder slid right off.
No rust no corrosion Just dust and dirt. Hit spindle and center of cylinder with acetone. Rinsed dryed and Polished with steel wool and some G96 added a light coat of white lithium grease to cylinder grooves. Smooth now. Cleaned cylinder and replaced the nipples with slixshots. .
All in including nipples

A nice used 1860 for under $250 is a deal. Most used ones like that are in the $300 range now.

Looks like an ASM or ASP. should be a lot of fun to shoot. What a steal!

After some research on the smith marks it is indeed a ASM and was manufactured in 1976 per the Boxed AB on the right side frame.
it is interesting that it has 4 screw on the frame side vs 3 on my Piettas and Ubertis

Four screw frames are for a shoulder stock. Three screw frames are not. The four screw frames should have an indent in the bottom of the grip frame. Three screws should not have an indent. You will see a four screw with no indent or a three screw with an indent every now and then. Grip frame was switched by someone or just came from the factory that way. Probably someone wasn't paying attention or just using up existing parts when the pistol was assembled..
