There's a Lyman 1851 available to me via a relatively local shop. Appears to be in good nick.
I'm aware that as an older pre-CNC gun, modern pietta & uberti parts aren't going to fit without work.

As a newbie to cap and ball, are parts going to be a concern?
Should availability of parts be a big part of my decision making process here?
