Is there a good way to lube REAL bullets? I just bought a mold and some Oxyoke bullet lube, and the stuff is really too stiff to put on with your fingers. Just wondered if anybody had a way to apply the stuff consistently.

For lubing 50 cal REAL bullets I found a 1/2 inch copper tube that was about 4 inches long at the hardware store, heated up my pan of lube and placed the bullets in nose up. Let cool and harden then just use the tube to insert over the bullets and remove, all lubed and ready to go.

When I pan lubed them I used BPCR lube. I heated it up and dropped the bullets in. After the bullets got hot I pulled them out and there was a very thin film all over the bullets. They shot well that way. Ron

I use Lee Liquid Alox for REALs. Put a few dozen in a plastic bag, squirt in some alox, squish them around a bit to get the bullets covered, then stand them base down on some aluminum foil to dry. Depending on weather and humidity drying may take a few days. Sometimes I put a second coat on them using the same procedure. I've never had a leading problem, but they tend to remain a little sticky.
