Lube amounts.

Hi, loaders... I lube with a combo of beef tallow, bee's wax, and Alox. My question is...is it possible to use too much lube? I do the dip method on my .45 and .54 cal Lee R.E.A.L. bullets.

The only lube needed is in the rings of the bullet. Any excess will be scraped off at the muzzle when loading. You will see the extra lube when you start the bullet into the barrel.

I don't think you can get too much - like mentioned above - the excess will get scrapped off on loading, but if you use a jag to push the bullet in it will also help put that lube on the barrel walls, and that does help with fowling-wiping for the next shot. It certainly won't hurt anything.
BTW - that is exactly how I lube mine - I like lots of lube.
