I saw a photo here earlier today of a Lott-locked trade gun with a rabbit that had just been harvested. I just got an older North Star trade gun with Lott lock and wanted to comment to the person that posted that. My trade musket takes a true .69 cal. ball and even though it has a 42" bbl. it weighs only 6-1/2 lbs. Has the same Lott lock as I saw in the photo. Thanks, sorry for being so long-winded! I understand North Star was the business of Curly Gostomsky? Later sold and became North Star West.
