    Andreas,

Welcome back Friend! We have never met, and it is unlikely that we will ever meet face to face. If we do, I will surely buy you a beer! Glad to have you back...

Andreas, Well met freind. I have really enjoyed your post, please stick around. As far as my contribution to that particular joke thread, I apologize to any who were offended in the interest of piece. There will be no more jokes from myself about any racial group. I do have a bunch of New York jokes though. :bull:

    A Big Thank You Claude!
I just had a somewhat major shoulder surgery (shooting side, of course) and this is one of my links to the outside world since I am land-locked for a while.
    Thanks Again :hatsoff:

    It's back? Good.

I'm going to go post my boy scout thread again -the Philmont thread. That is if it isn't still there...

I was a little bummed that I couldn't share that here.

    Thank you.

Well I didn't leave but my visits are now few and far. There was entirely too much racial and too much sexual humor for me. Glad to see the change. Also, I wish people would stick to the topic in discussions, AND, make sure their topic even pertains to that board in the first place.
    My $.02, thanks.

As a moderator on another (non firearms) forum, i can see both sides of this. I have to applaud the good job Claude is doing, abiet sometimes difficult decisions,as the saying goes,
you can't please all the people all the time.
With the anonomitity sitting behind a pc brings, people sometimes forget the basic elements of courtesy, and its human nature to sometimes read more into a persons intent than there actually may be. and people tend to consider others viewpoints less important than our own.
That being said, we need to remain a unified group, on many levels, including political, to be well informed of issues that can affect our rights as concerned american citizens as well as gun owners. With the research abilities of the combined membership, there is a wealth of information, political and otherwise, brought to us, that could well be overlooked by individuals, and without this cohisivness, our voices will not be heard and we will be defeated. It will take all our efforts, to stay well informed on such bills as have been presented here.
We've seen information on such things as the so far defeated, amnesty bill, and the current OSHA proposal. And what might of happened if we'd had the internet as in informational tool at the time of the infamous brady bill?
Opposing lobbists are successful because they are unified in they're beliefs and actions, and do so through information available to all.
We can only be as effective by keeping the same options open to us, and to do that we need areas such as the off topic forum here to pass on information. So lets do what it takes to keep the OT section open.

Ditto from me to welcome Undertaker back to the fire pit; I was beginning to feel chilly without those terrific photos of high quality European guns.

Speaking of New York jokes, here's another non-starter: how about a "jokes forum"? I'll start it off with this one:

Q: Why does New Jersey have more toxic waste dumps than California has lawyers?

A: New Jersey got first choice.
(Now calm down, Paul V. All in good fun....)

PS: can I change my alias to 'Anonymous'?

    Regards to all,
    Bluejacket
